Tanya Sullivan, President & CEO

Tanya is founder of Plus One Strategic Communications, LLC. Tanya is an accomplished communications and business development professional with extensive communications strategy, marketing, business and industry analysis experience. She is positioned to advise, manage and implement clients’ communications and business development strategic objectives.

Tanya most recently served as the CEO of the Rural Wireless Association (RWA) (f/k/a the Rural Telecommunications Group (RTG)) – a rural wireless trade association.

Before founding Plus One in 2008, Tanya served as the vice president of corporate relations for the National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative (NRTC) responsible for the strategic leadership of communications, marketing and public relations while developing strong relationships between the cooperative and it’s 1,400 members, electric and telephone utilities serving rural America.

Prior to NRTC, Tanya served as the senior director of external affairs at the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) where she developed and implemented the communications strategy for the company’s 30,000+ direct stakeholders, the United States Congress, and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Before joining USAC, Tanya spent nearly seven years as the vice president of business development for CoBank, a then $60+billion financial institution serving rural America. Her career in telecommunications began at USTA – now US Telecom in 1992.

Tanya is the 2013 recipient of the NTCA – The Broadband Association’s Associate Member Outstanding Achievement Award and the 2017 recipient of the Rural Wireless Association’s Rural Wireless Leadership Award. Tanya also serves as the Secretary of NTCA’s Broadband PAC and serves on NTCA’s Associate Member Advisory Council (AMAC).
